Next in our series of Outer Banks wedding venues: the Elizabethan Gardens.
Located on the north side of Roanoke Island near the Lost Colony, the Elizabethan Gardens memorialize the Renaissance time period when Sir Walter Raleigh’s lost colonists roamed Roanoke Island. The picturesque backdrop of seasonal flowers provides many opportunities for perfect OBX wedding portraits.
Ok, seriously, though, we love doing weddings at the Elizabeth Gardens.
It offers a variety of ceremony locations accommodating 25 to 300 guests. The gardens also include a reception hall and overflow tent if you choose to have an on-site reception. We love the variety of backdrops for elegant portraits: the gazebo, the sunken garden, the gate to the sound, the lawn, and various statues and fountains. On top of all that, Amy, the wedding coordinator there, is incredibly easy to work with. And if you really want a beach portrait for the bride and groom, many couples choose to take a quick drive to Jennette’s Pier.
Check out some of our pics from recent Elizabethan Gardens weddings.

Brittiney - I was wondering if you could give me a quote for having my wedding here and reception. We are getting married in September 2014 with about 70 people.
Thank you,
Brittiney
