If you ever come to a wedding with me, you will hear me say multiple times, "Kids are photographic gold!" Your story today comes from a small wedding in South Nags Head that had a bridal party full of kids. This couple took advantage of our free Trash-the-Dress session, and all the kids wanted to come along. I took our bride and groom down the beach for lots of intimate shots in the water while the kids played in the sand, away from the action. As we returned, they brought out a sign specially made for our bride and groom. Seeing an opportunity to have a little fun, I told the kids to kneel down behind the sign and hold it straight. I took several shots of them smiling and looking at the sign while my bride and groom stood behind them kissing. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, comes a massive wave. My couple were the first to get hit. As I heard my bride gasp at the chill of the water, I thought to myself, "Shh . . . don't tell the kids!" See . . . photographic gold!...
