Hello All!
My apologies for being gone for the past couple of days, but I’ve been working on a little project for my wife, Amy. As some of you may know, Amy is the track and field coach for the local middle school. Well, a couple days ago she off-handedly remarked that she was going to have to start looking into this year’s team sweatshirt design. Being the artist in the family, my senses immediately cued in on several key words as she spoke... These words were mainly “sweatshirt” and “design.” My interest was instantly peaked. “This could be fun,” I thought.
So with a little prying, (and much to my dismay) she divulged that she would probably just use the same design from last year. That way, she would not have to go through the design process again. I was silently crushed. She quickly reasoned with herself about the pro’s and con’s to sweatshirt ordering and decided that it was not worth the trouble to create something new. Needless to say, I was distraught! But then, my loving wife gave me that beautiful sideways glance and spoke those immortal words... “So what do you think?” Like a starving bird and a fat worm I saw my chance and leapt! Ehem... I calmly informed her that I had designed several team sweatshirts in my life and that I would love to make her one for her track team. With the smallest bit of “prompting” she reluctantly agreed to allow me to take over the task of creating this year’s track team logo. I assured her that it would be very simple and that she would love it in the end. With all that said, I thank you all for your patience with me over the past week. Here are the results of my efforts. Hope you like!
